Round Health alternative for iPhone, compared honestly
Round Health is a well made and widely recommended iPhone reminder app. If you are looking for an alternative, it helps to be clear about which of its strengths you are giving up.
What follows describes Round Health as it is presented on its own App Store listing and in published reviews at the time of writing. Check the current listing before you decide, because apps change.
Where Round Health is the better choice
This part first, because it is the part comparison pages usually skip.
- Apple Watch app and complications. Round Health has them. Supplement Streak has no watch app at all, and no plan to add one. If you want the reminder on your wrist, stop reading here and use Round Health.
- Reminder windows instead of a single moment. Round Health alerts across a window rather than firing once, which is a genuinely better design for people who are frequently unable to act at the exact minute. Supplement Streak fires at the times you set and offers Snooze 15 min, which is a cruder answer to the same problem.
- Medication features. As-needed dosing, complex schedules and a dedicated flow for birth control packs are things Round Health handles and Supplement Streak simply does not have.
- Optional account and history sync. Round Health lets you register if you want your history to follow you. Supplement Streak has no account at all, so there is nothing to sync, ever.
- Track record. It has been on the App Store for years with a large body of reviews. Supplement Streak is at version 1.2.0 and has no ratings yet.
Where Supplement Streak differs
- The year is the main screen. The heatmap gets its own tab: one square per day, shaded by how much of that day you finished, with current and longest streak above it. The record is the product rather than a statistic behind a menu.
- Supplement-shaped fields. Each entry holds a dose and unit, a form (capsule, tablet, powder, liquid, gummy or other), a with-food flag and any number of daily times, plus a stock count with a low-stock threshold that triggers a refill reminder.
- Timing notes on entry. Typing names like iron, magnesium, vitamin D, calcium, zinc or omega surfaces a short general note about food or spacing. General information, not medical advice.
- No account by design. Nothing is uploaded and no sign-in exists, which is a real privacy position and also the reason there is no sync.
- A share card. The current streak renders as an image with the recent grid underneath it.

How to choose
Take Round Health if your list includes prescriptions, if you want the reminder on an Apple Watch, or if you need history that survives a change of phone. Take Supplement Streak if your list is supplements only, if the thing you are missing is a visible record of how consistent you have actually been, and if you would rather have no account than a synced one.
